What's new...
I will be the featured artist at the Plumas Arts Gallery in Quincy for the month of June. I have been working on wool paintings and other felted items. Please join me at the Opening Reception on Friday, June 2 from 5-7 pm!
Those of you who have visited my website before may have noticed few changes in my postings for quite awhile. As if life weren't challenging enough during the Covid-19 pandemic, The 2021 summer brought tragedy to our farm and our community. In June, a mountain lion somehow crawled into our sheep shed and killed all of our beloved ewes, leaving a horrific scene of carnage. The next night, the lion killed all of my wool wethers. I will grieve losing these sheep forever; I loved each individual as family. Fifteen years of building this flock...
Then, just as my heart was calming and I was close to considering beginning a new flock, the Dixie Fire struck our county. We were evacuated for over 3 weeks and our home was just barely saved by firefighters' efforts. Close to a million acres burned and destroyed the entire town of Greenville, our local community. So much land and so many hearts in need of healing.
I plan on having sheep again, probably in summer of 2023, and I will update and do a makeover of my website. Thank all of you who have supported me through these tough times.

- We are participating fiber producers in the Shave 'Em to Save 'Em Challenge program sponsored by The Livestock Conservancy. The program is promoting rare wool breeds and Jacobs are among the 22 listed heritage breeds that are endangered. Should be a great fiber experience for 2019! You can buy whole fleeces, sampler wool bags, or yarn for your projects.
